Transit of Venus forms part of an exploration of Artaud's book Héliogabale ou l'Anarchiste couronné. In this video work an extract describing the sacred stones of Heliogabalus's Syria is layered over images of the city at night and images of the artist as the goddess Venus, reimagining the city as a temple to Venus and Heliogabalus.
